Four dead, six wounded in Sulu fighting between two clans

FOUR people were killed, including a policeman, and six others were wounded after fighting  broke-out between two clans in a remote village in Sulu province over the weekend, police reports said Monday.

Belated reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame said the fighting bewteen the groups of Makintan Juraim and Hadjiron Saribon broke-out over the weekend at Brgy. Lahing-Lahing, Omar, Sulu.

The reports said the fighting resulted to the death of four persons, identified as Bebilyn Sayah; a certain ‘Dad’ and ‘Madul’ and PO1 Allad Lalihasan Sahi, assigned with Panglima Estino Municipal Police station.

While those wounded in the fighting were identified asAbdu Sahibad; Mudar Kalil; Alkisar Hamsani; Nonjin Janna; Jinga Durang and Ritz Ammad, all of whom were brought to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, the reports said.

The reports said that the fighting between the two groups broke-out due to politcal and personnel grudge between the two leaders of the group, the reports said.

Elements of the Omar Municipal Police station are still investigating the said incident.
