Missing grade two pupil found dead in Agusan del Sur

THE body of a young girl that was reported missing last Monday was recovered early Tuesday morning along a creek in a remote village in Agusan del Sur, police reports said Wednesday.

Reports at the PNP operations center in Camp Crame identified the recovered body as that of f Kyla dela Cruz, 8, a grade two pupil of Bayugan 2 Elementary School in Bayugan 2, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

The reports said that Dela Cruz’s body was found by a concerned citizen at around 5:20 am Tuesday afternoon along the Tagconayon Creek on Purok-2, Brgy. Bayugan-2 of said municipality.

Initial investigation said that young girl reportedly left her home Monday afternoon supposedly to go to school, but was not able to return back home that afternoon, reports said.

The reports said that when discovered, the young girl’s body was half naked with her short pants and her underwear was placed on top of her body that also bore deep puncture wound on her head and neck.

Agusan del Sur Provincial Crime Laboratory Office conducted scene of the crime operation while Municipal Health Officer conducted post mortem examination, the reports said.

The reports said that the young girl’s remain will be subjected for spermatozoa examination and autopsy and was brought to the Dollete Funeral Homes in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur for proper disposition.

Elements of the San Francisco Municipal Police Station still conducting thorough investigation on the case, the reports said.
