POLICE operatives have successfully rescued a foreign kidnap following an operation late Wednesday night inside the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City, police reports said Thursday.
Reports at the PNP national operations in Camp Crame identified the rescued victim as Ahmad Mohammad Abdullah Alkandari, 49, a Kuwaiti.
The reports said Alkandari was rescued by elements of PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) at around 10:30pm inside the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City.
The reports said that prior to the recovery, the family of the victim paid P612,585 ransom for the release of Alkandari.
The ransom was deposited through money transfer to Jamion Antam Salahudin, Queenie Ayunan Dumial, Adelaida Ayunan Dumial and Amirudin Dani Canape, reports said.
The reports said that despite the payment, Alkandari was not released prompting his family to seek the help of the authorities.
AKG was informed of the incident by the Kuwaiti Embassy, which is in constant contact with the victim’s family, the reports said.
