GOVERNMENT security forces on Wednesday are strictly monitoring the reported massing-up of more members of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) in a remote village in Sulu, a police intelligence officer said.
A Camp Crame based intelligence officer said that they have received information that around 70 armed MNLF members are reportedly gathering in the vicinity of Sitio Wanni Tungal, Brgy. Lambayong, Indanan, Sulu.
The police intelligence source said that the MNLF are reportedly mobilizing their forces in the said area in apparent preparation for alleged synchronized attack against government security forces in Sulu.
“The group is allegedly targeting the detachment of Philippine Marines at Brgy. Pasil, Indanan, Sulu — this information are subject for further validation,” the police intelligence source.
However, the police intelligence source said that MNLF forces sighted massing in the said area were reportedly led by a certain “Tuan Muharral”, which is under command of Commander Haj Gafur Hussein.
