ONE person was killed following a collision between a motorcycle and a multi-cab shortly before noon Tuesday along a national highway in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, police reports said Wednesday.
Reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame identified the lone fatality in the collision as Alejandrino Valderama y Legaspe, 56 and resident of Brgy. 1, San Francisco.
The reports said that the collision between the tricycle and multi-cab occurred at around 11:50am Tuesday along the national highway in Purok-5, Brgy. Alegria, San Francisco of said province.
Reports said that Legaspe was driving his tricycle (MTOP 796) along the said highway and was east when it accidentally collided with a Suzuki multi-cab (JCB-417) driven by Alexander Nillas Jr., traveling on the opposite direction.
Legaspe sustained injuries in different parts of his body and died while being treated at the D.O. Plaza Memorial Hospital in Patin-Ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur where he was rushed by Nillas after the incident, reports said.
The reports said that Nillas and the two vehicles are now in the custody of the San Francisco Municipal Police station for proper disposition while charges are being prepared against Nillas.
