A man was shot and killed by still unidentified gunman Saturday morning in a sub-urban village in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur, police reports said on Sunday.
Reports at the PNP operations center in Camp Crame identified the shooting victim as Gonzalo Magbanua Jr., 47 yrs old.
The reports said Magbanua was walking at Purok Sony’s Farm in Brgy. Mabua at around 9:20am when he was shot several times by the gunman hitting him on his neck and left arm.
Magbanua was rushed to Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical Center, but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, reports said.
The reports said the gunman fled after the attack while responding police officers recovered a 45 caliber Colt pistol loaded with 6 ammunition from the victim.
Tandag City Police are still conducting thorough investigation to identify and capture the suspect, reports said.
