TWO police officers on Friday assisted in the emergency delivery of a baby by young mother while on board a crowded passenger bus in Tarlac.
The two police nurses, Insps. Mavidette Ongjunco and Arnel Cera helped a certain Mary Rose Palisoc in delivering her baby boy at around 11:55am Friday.
They were on board a Five Star (95408) bound to Bolinao, Pangasinan from Manila when Palisoc reportedly started to experiencing birth pains.
The two police nurses on board the bus improvises with clean towels and quickly assisted the young mother in delivering her baby.
The baby boy was delivered while the bus was rushing at high-speed to the nearest hospital.
Both police nurses at that time undergoing a five-month Field Training Program at the Camiling Municipal Police Station.
They boarded the bus in Tarlac City enroute to Camiling after attending a blood-letting operation.
The young mother and her child were later turned over to doctors at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Memorial Hospital in Malacampa, Camiling, Tarlac.
