Two killed by a drug pusher in Bayugan City

TWO persons were shot to death by a drug-dealer late Friday afternoon after an illegal drug transaction that went awry in a sub-urban village in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur, police reports said Sunday.

Belated reports reaching Camp Crame identified the victim as Ralp Cafe, 27, alias ‘Raffy’ and Jeb Candol, 23 and both are residents of Brgy. Maygatasan of said City.

The suspect who fled after the shooting was identified as Abel Tomarompong alias ‘Calib’ and a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Barobo, Surigao del Sur.

The reports said the shooting incident occured at around 3:30pm Friday at Purok 2, Brgy. Fili, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

Investigation by the police revealed that the victims and suspect met at the said place purportedly for ‘illegal drug’ transaction, the reports said.

The reports said in the middle of the transaction the suspect drew out a firearm and shot the two victims in different parts of their bodies.

The suspect fled onboard a motorcycle after the shooting while the two victims were rushed by bystanders to New Bayugan Medical Hospital were they expired while being treated, reports said.

The reports said responding policemen recovered from the crime a fired cartridge case believed to be from .45 caliber; two cellular phones owned by the victims and a motorcycle used by the victims.
