POLICE operatives successfully rescued a 7-year old kidnap victim and arrested the suspect early dawn Saturday in a remote village in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur, police reports said Sunday.
Reports reaching Camp Crame’s operations center identified the arrested suspect as George Lamera, who also has a standing warrant for kidnapping.
The reports said Lamera was arrested after operatives of the CIDG, led by Chief Insp. Emmanuel Ramos, swooped down at around 4am Saturday on the suspect’s hideout at Brgy. Poblacion, Prosperidad.
The kidnap victim known only as ‘AJ’ was rescued in a follow-up operation at Sitio San Isidro, Brgy. Batucan, Talacogon, Agusan del Sur, reports said.
The reports said the suspect is now in the custody of CIDG in Agusan del Sur while the victim was reunited to his family.
