A young-man was stabbed to death by the live-in-partner of his paramour over the weekend in a sub-urban village in Butuan City, Agusan del Sur, police reports said Monday.
Belated reports in Camp Crame identified the victim as Alemar Dayan-Dayan, 20 yrs old, while the suspect was identified as Junel Mandahunog, 18 and both are resident of Butuan City.
The reports said the stabbing incident occurred at around 2pm Saturday inside the suspect’s house at P-8 Slaughter Area, Brgy. 18 Obrero of the said city.
Investigation revealed that the suspect caught the victim and his live-in partner inside their room, prompting the suspect to stab the victim hitting him in the chest, the reports said.
The reports said the suspect quickly fled after the incident, while the victim was rushed to the MJ Santos Hospital, but later expired while undergoing medical treatment.
The suspect was arrested by pursuing policemen and is now detained at the Butuan City Police station while appropriate charges are being prepared against him, the reports said.
