AFTER staging barricades last Friday, Luneta vendors under Peoples Democratic Hawkers and Vendors Alliance (PEDHVA)-KADAMAY held a vigil last night as they wait for today’s plan of the National Parks Development Coommittee (NPDC) to evict them from their stalls.
A privatization plan of the Luneta Park is to be implemented under the Public-Private Partnership which will prohibit some 120 vendors under PEDHVA from selling inside the park.
According to the PEDVHA, Col. Ferdinand Quirante of MPD Station 5 (tourist belt) has talked to them about the plan to evict the vendors tomorrow, February 25, as the Team PNoy senatorial slate also has plan to hold a program at the Quirino Grandstand.
