POLICE intelligence operatives have arrested on Saturday afternoon a top leftist hitman said to be a suspect in the killing of a member of Philippine Shooting Team on late 2011.
PNP spokesman, Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo Jr., quoting reports, identified the arrested rebel hitman as Jimmy Dadison Pianiar alias Toto.
Cerbo said Pianar was nabbed by police intelligence agents at around 3:30pm Saturday at Palaisdaan Picnic Garden in Malabon City.
The PNP spokesman said Pianiar is reportedly a member of a partisan group that is engage in gun-for hire activity.
“He is now undergoing documentation and tactical investigation at the regional intelligence unit NCR headquarters,” Cerbo said.
The police official said Pianiar is a suspect in the shooting and killing of Michael Lontoc, a member of Philippine shooting team, in Malabon City on Sept. 25, 2011.
