AUTHORITIES have arrested on Thursday afternoon two members of the Southern Police District (SPD) for kidnapping of two persons in Muntilupa City last Wednesday afternoon.
Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) chief, Senior Supt. Renato Gumban identified the arrested policemen as PO2 Herminigildo Emasa Gajeto, Jr. and PO1 Ryan Hallegado Manga.
Gumban said the two were arrested by the elements of the PNP-AKG in a pay-off entrapment operation Thursday afternoon along Sucat Rd., Brgy. Sto. Nino in Paranaque City.
The AKG chief said the two are suspects in kidnapping of Jenilind Rodriguez and Kevin Bajar at Purok 4, Sucat, Muntinlupa City last Wednesday.
Gumban said the operation was conducted based on the information provided by Michelline Rodriguez, sister of Jenilind that the suspects were asking her to pay P40,000 as ransom.
The marked money used during the pay-off was recovered from the suspects when they were arrested, Gumban said.
Four other suspects namely, PO2 Michael Marcos, PO2 Rigor Octaviano, PO1 Domingo Abarico Jr. and PO1 Dennis Quinto, all assigned with the SPD NCRPO were also indicted in relation to this incident.
Gumban added appropriate charges against the arrested suspects were filed through Prosecutor Ramil Reyes of Parañaque City Prosecution Service Thursday afternoon.
The AKG chief added the other suspects, who are still at-large, have also been recommended to undergo a preliminary investigation for Robbery (Extortion), Unlawful Arrest, and Arbitrary Detention of the Revised Penal Code.
Ncrpo Chief, Director Leonardo Espina ordered the disarming and conduct of summary dismissal proceedings against the policemen involved in the said kidnapping case.
